Heater is built for sports fans. We treat your data the way we'd want our own treated — collected only when it makes the app work, never sold, never bundled with adtech.

What we collect

• Favorite teams. Stored on your device. If you've enabled push notifications, your favorite team IDs are sent to our push backend so we know which alerts to fan out to you.
• APNs device token. A short, opaque identifier Apple gives us to deliver push notifications. We can't reverse it into anything personally identifying.
• App version + platform. Sent with the token so we can shape future releases.

What we don't collect

• No email, name, phone number, or account.
• No location.
• No advertising identifiers (no IDFA, no SDK fingerprinting).
• No analytics SDKs of any kind.

Third-party data

Live scores, schedules, and play-by-play come from MLB's public Stats API. Team logos render from ESPN's public CDN. The app makes those requests directly from your device — they don't pass through our servers.

Push backend

Our push backend (api.useheater.app) runs on infrastructure we control. It stores your device token and favorite team IDs in a SQLite database we maintain. We never share this with third parties.

Removing your data

Delete the app. Your device token stops being valid the moment iOS uninstalls Heater; we drop it from the backend the next time APNs returns an "Unregistered" status.
